Fire Horse

This Chinese zodiac sign, occurring every 60 years, goes from February 17, 2026 to February 5, 2027.

Representing immense power, passion, and independence, the Fire Horse brings bold, transformative energy, often demanding quick action and change, though it may also lead to burnout and tumultuous, rebellious situations.

Considered a year for dramatic, rapid shifts, 2026 encourages breaking old patterns, taking risks, and fostering innovation. Another energetic shift is from the indigo of 2025 to the silver of 2026. I sprinkled silver mica, which you might notice glimmering on fire horses' velvety muzzle.

I've always been mesmerized by the beauty and spirit of horses, and have been aching to paint one again for a while now. In the shamanistic tradition of East and Central Asia the wind horse is the symbol of the human soul, the strength of your spirit, your inspiration and courage. This years' zodiac sign amplifies that symbolism.

As an artist, I create images in hopes that people will find inspiration from them and bring them into their homes as lasting beacons of hope, resiliency and inspiration.
